A PERFECT DAY IN PORTSEA WITH NAOMI K HOLT.

Hi there I’m Naomi K Holt and here is a little information about me, so firstly I’m a Provisional Psychologist and qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and therefore, not surprisingly, I am very passionate about mental health. I’ve also been in the modelling industry for over 10 years and was a National Finalist in Miss Universe Australia. I have created a positive platform for mental health and body image on Instagram called @modelledminds, which brings so much inspiration into my life and lastly, I have also started a social enterprise with my partner named "Tipsy Aunt Flo" to help end period poverty.

Describe your perfect three days at this beach.

Sun, sand and good times! When I’m in Portsea I usually spend my time between the beach and the pub, which sounds basic but in Portsea it’s anything but. This is because the vibe in Portsea is the perfect mix of the Australian and European summer! After a morning walk and time spent at the many different beach spots, we usually head to the Portsea Pub. I won’t lie finding a park can be hard, so remember to wear shoes you can easily walk in, incase you have to park in a back street (annoying but worth it). Whether you sit inside or outside, the Portsea Pub is instagram worthy and I love that our food always arrives to the table quickly. After enjoying lunch and some yummy cold drinks we usually wander with our full bellies down to the Portsea Jetty (the comfort shoes come in handy again here) and enjoy the view. For the afternoon we soak up the sun and salt a bit more in the little beach by the jetty. From here I just repeat the day again and again, trying new things, looking in stores and finding beautiful walks to explore each day.

Iconic must see spots?

Portsea Pub is a must visit, the view from the lawn into the bay is divine and it’s a lovely place to refuel after a day down the beach. One G&T please! It’s also a great place to get that European vibe Instagram shot without the 24 hours flight time (amen).

The Portsea London bridge is as iconic as it gets, it has been the star of many a TV commercial and there is a reason why... it’s bloody beautiful! While your down that way I would also recommend walking some of the Point Nepean tracks, you will really get a feel for the beauty of the Australian coast. Note though, that on a hot day I would be slip, slop, slapping and stocking up on water!

Your beach day essential items?

Big towel, a book, beach umbrella, SPF (it’s so important to be Sun Smart), and some fresh fruit and water.

Favourite book you’ve read this summer?

Where to start, I don’t even know how to pick just one! I’m a big reader, so maybe I’ll just stick to the last series I’ve read which was The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.

Summer drink of choice?

Tipsy Aunt Flo Pinot Noir as it’s super light and it’s also from my own profit for purpose wine label. I’m not even embarrassed to be plugging it because we donate 50% of all profits to ending period poverty, which I believe is a cause worth being promoted!

Go to summer recipe?

In summer I love to keep it simple and get outdoors on the weber! My partner and I love to flame grill some chicken breast, eggplant, potato, capsicum and zucchini all marinated with olive oil, salt and a pinch of pepper.

Top health or beauty tip?

Keep it basic. I recently cut the products I use on my skin down by more than 70% and my skin has never been better! I think we are over marketed by the products we need so we will buy more, even when it’s not necessary. I now only use what works for me when I feel my skin is in need of it.

Favourite Piece in the collection?

My favourite piece in the Resort Collection (it was so hard to pick because it’s all so amazing) would be the ‘THE NAUTILUS’ Shirred Ruffled Cotton Broderie Dress it is so cute and a feminine dream! I love that you can style it up with cute tan heals and gold accessories or dress it down with sandals or sneakers and a cute playful hair scarf.
