Can you tell us a little about your journey in the fashion industry and what inspired you to become a Fashion Editor and Fashion Content Creator?
I’ve always loved fashion and have dreamed of working in the fashion industry since I was a little girl. I used to dress my cousins in curtains and bed sheets; do their hair and make; take photos of them; have the photos printed and then make my own mini magazine! I started as a Fashion Journalist then moved into Fashion Styling which graduated to Fashion Editor for NewsCorp which transitioned to Fashion Content Creation – lots of different fashion “hats” but, at the core, ALWAYS a love of fashion.

We love how you have styled each of the four dresses from our Spring Racing Collection. What occasions do you have in mind for each of the separate looks?
So many! With the right accessories, these pieces can work for race days, polo events, weddings, Christmas Parties, New Year’s functions or long lunches!

As a mum, journalist and content creator, your day-to-day must be a juggling act. How do you balance your family life with your work in fashion?
I’m so lucky to work for myself and dictate my own days/ hours. I work every day – not ALL day every day but every day. I’ll work from 9am – 2:30pm Monday to Friday and then switch to “Mum Mode” from 3-7pm. I jump back into work that night OR I’ll spend some of my weekends working but I’d much prefer it this way…I feel like I get the best of both worlds!
Equestrian events are a highlight on the social calendar. Which events do you most look forward to each year, and what makes them special for you?
I do love a polo event! The reality is I’m actually a bit of an introvert and prefer to be at home with my family… OR I’d rather take my family to the event with me!

You’ve given great advice on event styling. But beyond the track, do you have any go-to tips for effortless everyday chic? We know you don't wear print often but do you ever sneak one in and what do you look for?
I LOVE prints in the form of stripes, spots or animal print! A striped tee or animal print belt can take a simple outfit to the next level. I also think statement accessories are key – this is how you personalise an outfit and make it your own. My one rule is “a maximum of 3 statement pieces per outfit”.

What are some of the accessories brands / pieces that you would style Binny alongside for Spring/Summer?
I recently purchased a statement YSL gold earring which I styled with your pieces – the perfect luxe touch! I’d love to dress this items down with raffia, tan sandals and tortoiseshell sunglasses or bangles.
When you're not working or attending events, what are some of your favourite ways to spend time with your family in spring?
We love “family walks” around our neighborhood! We also love driving to Scarborough or Manly Boathouse for park plays Fish and Chips. A cute wine bar has also opened down the road so it’s been lovely walking there on a Friday night for wine and pizza.

We’d love to know more about your interests. Since we’re book/podworms both Substack & Paper here at Binny, are there any you're reading/ listening to you love?
I’m not great with podcasts but I do enjoy Diary of a CEO. I’m a binge reader – I’ll read a book a week when on holidays but haven’t had a chance to read since June. I did DEVOUR the Fourth Wing and ACOTAR series earlier this year though… FUN! I have a delicious stack of books waiting for me come Christmas holidays too…
What’s next for you? Do you have any exciting projects or goals you’re working towards that we should keep an eye out for?
I have a few fun work trips and events coming up which I’m looking forward to! This year is very much about continuing and growing the current client relationships I have and working on my engagement with my beautiful social media community. 2024 has very much been about analyzing stats and trying to improve my channels to better my customer/ audience experiences.
