MEET THE (FURRY & MINIATURE ) MODELS.
How long have you both modelled for?
Well you wouldn’t think it by looking at how relaxed we were in the photos, but this was our first big break, we’ve done a few unpaid small jobs for friends to promote their new hay line, but this was our first editorial. We are what they call in the industry very “green”.
We’ve been reading Vogue since we were foals and waiting to get scouted for some time. We thought the fact we were miniature donkeys and not humans meant we wouldn’t have a chance at the modelling scene. But we were wrong – life is crazy and brings so many twists and turns!
We are so thankful to the Binny team for seeing the potential in us at a kids petting zoo themed Birthday party and we can’t wait to see what our future holds. Our advice to anyone starting out is to never give up on your dreams.
How do you keep active?
We love to maintain our small, yet mighty physique. Self-care is important to us. Our favourite games include chasey and wrestling with each other (we are half brothers so what do you expect). We also like to play with rubber boots and rope dog toys.
How much sleep do you get?
We sleep in bursts, (standing up of course) for a few hours a day. We do also love a snooze in the morning sun. It is important to apply SPF when outside though.
Top tips on keeping your fur so perfectly maintained?
We roll in the dirt several times a day to keep a layer of dust in our coat. When preparing for an event we do love to be brushed and pampered by our very kind owner. When preparing for an event we enjoy a warm bath, and wear a rug in the winter to keep ourselves dry. We absolutely hate rain and we will run for cover at the first drop.
What does the perfect day for you look like in a post coronavirus world?
Well luckily for us the pandemic hasn’t really rocked our world (like our circus friends) as we don’t travel far for work. The perfect day for us would be a breakfast of tasty hay and then a stroll down to the dam with our friends to watch the ducks swimming. We love to snooze so that would definitely be on the cards, and of course a munch on the olive trees – then another snooze, play, dinner and another snooze – then repeat!
